Heating systems

Heating with tiled stove or masonry stoves is an ecologically sustainable form of heating that
uses wood, a raw material that is renewable and locally available. Low-energy houses reduce
energy demand still further, meaning that today there is no difficulty in heating a whole house
with a tiled stove while at the same time enjoying a log fire in the living room.
Tiled stoves can also meet all hot water needs for heating and hot water use, with a fully
automated electronic control system distributing the energy released.
Installing a tiled stove as a primary heating system allows our customers to achieve an ideal
and uniquely healthy climate while at the same time assuring autonomous heating, i.e. they
are not dependent on any other energy source (energy autarky).

Wood-burning stoves, or fireplaces, are distinguished by their ability to quickly heat large
spaces in a short time and lower heating bills, which considering the current price of oil and
gas is a welcome side-effect. A wood-burning stove is ecologically operated using wood or
wood briquettes: there is also specially designed firewood for use with this type of stove.
The wood-burning stove is used as permanently-burning stove, i.e. following lighting the
stove should be repeatedly fed with wood at intervals of 30-60 minutes. This makes it
somewhat of an effort to run, while wood consumption may be higher compared to a tiled
stove or storage heating stove.

Roast, bake, grill or stew with absolutely no electricity or gas. The cooking stove or woodfired
cooker once used by grandmother is experiencing a new boom and has today once more
established itself as a high-quality and reliable kitchen element: its ability to offer a wide
range of cooking methods while reducing heating costs means that it is today once more a
popular topic. We have developed the new generation of stoves through a process of continuous
development and innovative techniques. We have combined the virtues of the classic cooking
stove with the construction requirements of today’s low-energy building practices.
Our new iron heater is the result of 20 years of experience. The Iron Stoker model is unique
in terms of function and performance and sets new benchmarks for the industry. The benefits
of the Iron Stoker include rapid heat release, reduced wood consumption, increased heat
storage capacity, absolute airtightness and the possibility of fitting a blower door.

Through-the-wall stoves
Part of a tiled stove can often be located in an adjacent living area, allowing one fireplace to
perform both cooking and heating functions. The inside consists of fireclay, which is ideal for
transferring the heat to the outside of the stove. The stove exterior (including under the
plaster finish) consists of full tiles. Heat can be conducted directly via the heating section or
just via the cooking stove (e.g. in summer). The many different functions and options are
tailored to customer requirements.

Heating the whole house with a hot water system
A tiled stove can meet all hot water needs for both heating and hot water use.
In combination with a thermal solar heating system, a tiled stove with an integrated water
heating system becomes a complete heating system offering total comfort.
Sit back and enjoy a crackling fire in the living room.
It is good to know that there will be no more heating bills, oil or gas bills and that the heating
system is environmentally friendly, CO²-neutral and economical – not to mention that the
price of wood is free of any political or economic manipulation or control.
